Exclamation Smooth Cowl - Who Wants One?

This delete COWL was on EBay this past week. I immediately contacted
the seller, his name is Tony, and asked about one with ZERO holes. Told
him I wanted a totally shaved one with no wiper holes or anything. Last
night I got an e-mail from him and he said he was going to make it since
the other one sold for more than his costs. I need actuall interest count.
Please let me know if you would be interested in one. Price will probably
be in this range and not sure how much shipping would add to it. I just
wanted to share this with my family here since I might not be the only
person wanting 1 of these. Let me know as soon as you can, TY, Craig

I'd be interested in one at or around the $202.00 price.

Re: Smooth Cowl - Who Wants One?

What would this do to your heater and AC operation? I would love the look but if it makes the heater and AC not work right I'd be less inclined.

I'd still want wipers though like the one in the original auction.

Re: Smooth Cowl - Who Wants One?

Like I said, I assume the price would be about what his last one sold for.
As for functionality not sure it helps the Heat or A/C When he e-mails
me back I will discuss both styles with him and see what he is willing to
do for us. It appears most want the wiper holes based on the responces.
As for fit, dunno it was the 1st one he ever made, he was going to use
it on his own ride then chose not to. Maybe he'll give me buyers e-mail?

Well heck I wanted to smooth my cowl long ago and I had several people tell me "your heater won't heat for crap since it needs that air flow from the cowl".

Are you positive this won't affect the heat or air in any way? Because I definitely want to smooth my cowl or buy one already smoothed.

Re: Smooth Cowl - Who Wants One?

the cowl bassicly just delivers the air to you kick panel vents, the heater box contains the core under the hood and then passes through the fire wall and connects to a vent system that has hoses that to to the defroster and sends heat out under the dash. you would help prevent your truck from rusting out if you close them off because leaves and water won't be able to get stuck in there as easy.. you will loose function of your kick panel vents. but my self I never liked running them cause they put so much dirt in your truck

Re: Smooth Cowl - Who Wants One?

He told me this morning he was going to try and sell them around $200 for board
members. He has another he's putting on Evil Bay for around $230-$250 with the
BIN option. Shipping is the most difficult part of it as most of you probably know,
He looked at this thread and was amazed at how many people had an interest in
one. YES it is glass and not metal, some people may not like that. He also said he
had started on the deleted version with ZERO holes for me so we shall see. From
what I can tell he's willing to make them with or without the wiper holes. Craig

Re: Smooth Cowl - Who Wants One?

Well with that being said that you wont get no air from your kick panels. Us guys with no AC will just have to suffer with the vented cowls. To bad I seen the one on evil bay, looks nice.

I'd be interested, but only if it's steel. I don't do fiberglass parts.
