shifter noise
Hey guys! I just bought a 70 gmc and i've already done a 4/6 drop. My problem now is that the shifter rattles and grinds in 3rd when i'm slowing down, it also does it whenever i hit a big bump. Its a 3spd conveted to floor shift.

Most probable cause is loose trans mount/ bolts. What makes me think that's the problem is that it rattles when you hit a bump also.
Other cause maybe bad u joints or out of balance drive shaft.. These is most noticeable when decelarating because you remove tension from the driveshaft. |
