Parts for wood bed ready to go, whats the best way? Any pics of a charcoal grey 68??
I am preparing to put the bed wood and bed strips on my 68 C10. I was told my girlfreinds father(he has two 63's)that it is best to remove the entire bed and set it on wooden horses to put on the bed strips and wood. I think I can get under there and do it all as is on the bed. I'm confused, my dad has all I need to remove the bed and all that but I don't want to go through that trouble if I don't need to. Help me out someone.

Save yourself the hassle and leave the bed on. It will take a little bit more time with the bed since you will be crawling underneath, but after you assemble the bed with all the wood its going to be heavy. You'd need several people to do it, and you'd probably end up knicking the cab. I put my wood/strips in with the bed on the truck. Just takes time.
