help please about brakes
a frend of my has a 1970 drum front and drum rear he does not want to change over to disk but he want to put a power booster on it what port valve does he need or all them the same i thought disk and drum port valve was diffen. if you can help thanks

Disk and drum brakes use diffrent P-valves.

If you are going to use your old single outlet master, no valve is meeded. Dual master cylinders can be plumbed for cross or front/rear braking. Either way, no valve for all drums.

If you get the master cylinder for a drum/drum setup you don't need a proportioning valve or cross-plumbing. My 69 has drum/drum power brakes with a dual master cylinder.

Tell him to think about www.praisedyno.com for some shoes. That, with power, should make his braking very nice (on par with factory disc).

Never seen a single resivour master cylinder on these trucks...power/non power, drum or disc....they all had daul resivours as far as i know.

I agree with longhornmail. My 66 3/4 ton had a single res; and my 67 C10 panel has a dual...

You're right about the single resevoirs only to '66. I was thinking about my panel when I wrote that, which I changed to dual with drums, then put 78 x-member in, with prop valve.
