Sweet! How does powder coated part hold up to heat? I know they are baked on during the coating process but I've never heard anything about the long term durability of pc when exposed to heat all the time. Btw - Nice ride! Love those videos.

Yeah, that does look pretty good. New manifold right? How did you prep it since you didn't have it sandblasted?

...and about heat that's a good question. I used some high-temp primer and paint on my manifold from NAPA and it didn't hold up. It's flaking loose at the heat risers. It would suck to have hunks of powder loose their adhesion.

ProSt68Trk, It's suppose to hold up good to heat.

COBALT, the intake is 8 years old, he beed blasted it.

Wow! Those pictures look great! Your engine compartment has to look the best(sorry guys) I love your truck. Also, did your friend do it in an oven or does he work at a shop. What is bead blasting, I don't know what that is. Also, is there any like at home kits you can do your own detail powdercoating in an extra oven? I think I've heard of this before, but not positive. Looks great man.

Brabra, he baked it in a regular oven like you would have at home. Beed blasting is like sand blasting, but less abrasive. He has a blast cabinet. www.eastwoodco.com and www.harborfreight.com sale at home kits.

I have the Eastwood powder coating system in my garage. Also have a blasting cabinet and an old electric oven. Love powdercoating, it's cheap and less messy than painting. Decided to look into the it when got a quote of $100.00 to powder coat 4 coil springs locally. Once you have the system set up, you;ll love it. It's also a great way to do trade outs with others.

Did he put a clear coat over the chrome? It will dull it slightly, but if you don't clear coat, it will oxidize and turn to a gray color. I learned this the hard way, in case you are wondering!

I have been PCing intakes for years, because they clean up so much nicer that just aluminum. I have trouble with the center heat runner burning off. I understand the Corvette guys (remember, they have more money, than sense) are cerama chroming (jet hot) the intake before PCing them the original color...just so the centers won't burn off! Any one know a simpler way to keep PC on the heat risers?
