final cost for wood bed conversion?

I was wondering for those of you who have done the conversion to a wood bed, how much does it actually end up costing? I was on the MAR-K website and they sell the wood, stainless strips, and hardware for around $700. But it also says that you need the front bed panel, cross sills and rear sill. When I clicked on those parts, it said for steel beds only. I guess I'm wondering if a wood bed is really worth $1000 (to me) if that's what it's gonna cost. Thanks.

Re: final cost for wood bed conversion?

Depends on what you intend to do with the truck -show, daily driver or work truck. Wood bed trucks look awesome. Especially if the floor is kept nice and new looking.

Mine were/are just daily drivers occasionaly hauling light stuff in them so I'm keeping them metal.
