bought new aftermarket clips for lower moulding clips are just a little to short anyone else have these problems thanks scott

You are right. Most of them are too short, so they fall out when you are installing the trim or spin around when you try to tighten the nuts. You would think a lot of people having these made would check the fit. I talked to GoodMark about it, and they came back with that old line, "No was else has had any problems". Ya, right! So I put small pieces of electrical wire or plastic in one groove to try & hold the clip from turning. Not the best plan, but haven't got a better one yet.

Add me to your list of people who think those clips you get with the trim suck. The black ones, right? They SPIN when you are trying to tighten them down. Also, the stick-on are worthless. Tried to use them on the top trim pieces. They have to bend a bit to match the curve of the front fenders. Yeh, right. The front of the top trim piece on mine stuck out by at least a 1/2". Even if you use them on a straight panel they still stick out. When you put those stick-on clips on brand new paint and have to pull them off, it kinda makes your b.tt pucker.
Whoever makes them should have to come and install them.
(Do I sound miffed?)
Anyways - I bit the bullet and bought the factory (way too expensive) clips. Very glad I did. So is my banker.

If you every figure out how to get the bolt on a threaded post that is too long to begin with on the lower door trim - when the bolt is directly behind the door hinge --- let me know. I had to improvise on that one.
You'll love it when it's all on. Getting there is a pain in the Ford!
