How did I do???
I went on eBay this morning and saw an auction that was just about to end. Something came over me and I couldn't resist. I threw a bid on it and won it. Here is a link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...SA:MOTORS:1123 What do you guys think of this deal?

I expect it is what he says but the proof is in the pudding. We will see soon. He does have 100% positive feedback.

I was watching these items from the start....thinking, hell Cali isn't that far from me.......If I can make a trip to Arizona to pick up parts, what's a few extra miles...................anyway I came to my senses and I am glad to see that someone here got the deal. That has got to be one of the best deals of the century!! Please post some pics of it when you get it to it's new home...........congrats!!!

I'm gonna build me a truck! Maybe I will keep the other one pink now (long story) and save it for my daughter.

Re: How did I do???
Think it looks great. I think if you added up parts$ your way ahead of the game. As long as frame was boxed proper and did not twist and the clip was put on proper. Lots of good parts though. Good score.

Re: How did I do???
I think I would take it to the frame shop that has a lazer and have it checked for the factory specs before I unloaded it at my garage. Make sure it is straight first!!!!!

Re: How did I do???
When you going to pick up? How are you picking it up? I live about an hour south of there and might possibly be able to give you a hand loading it provided my schedule permits it. PM me if you need the help.
Mike

Re: How did I do???
Update... I have spoken to the guy a couple times and will be making the five hour drive Saturday. The truck is completely disassembeled. The parts are at a shop and I spoke to them as well. I asked him to assemble the suspension so it rolls and to bolt the cab, bed and fenders to the frame for ease of pickup. He is doing it and for a very reasonable amount. I have confirmed all that is there and there is also more. I didn't expect any front suspension parts but they are there. It is set up for airbags and three are included. I spoke with the shop guy (who didn't do any of the work) and he says the frame work looks good. Just needs some grinding and cleanup. Now to see if I can pay to bring it here. That may be asking to much. Anyway, should have it all next week.

Re: How did I do???
Well I have not gone to pick up the truck but a transporter is picking it up tomorrow or Tuesday. I should have it by mid week at the latest and we will see how it looks.

Re: How did I do???
OK, it is here now. That seemed like a long wait. There will be quite a bit to do but we are going to start within the next two weeks. The frame appears to be nice and straight. The work done so far seems somewhat medicore, mostly just incomplete. We need to finish boxing the frame and some attention to the clip installation. I think I am going to scrap the four link and fabricate a two link with air bags. It has a fleetside bed and I really don't like the way it looks on a 56. I thought I would, so if anyone in So Cal has an interest in a 58-59 fleetside bed let me know. I will have to replace the cab corners and the rockers as well. I am pretty sure that I will end up chopping as well. Here are some photos.

Re: How did I do???
The truck looks pretty good. There is still a lot of time and money to spent. I have a friend who is going to be doing a lot of the work though as my time is tied up these days between work and daughters competitive softball. Here is an example of his work. I can't wait to get started and I will take lots of photos.
