Steering Splines

I'm prepping my part orders for my week long thrash in March, and that involves some steering u-joints, hence I have a few questions.

What is the spline count on a 1970 Manual steering box?
What is the spline count on a 1970 Non-tilt steering column?

Thanks for the help, I'll make sure to do a thread during the week long thrash to slam this baby further into the pavement.

Re: Steering Splines

Column is 3/4"-36 spline. Box will be either 3/4"- 30 or 36 spline. What are your plans?

Re: Steering Splines

The current plan:

This weekend (I have Monday off), build a fuel tank for under the bed and possibly flip hood, prep for March.

In March:

The truck is currently bagged, but it leaks and I didn't use quality components the first time around, and I want it lower and will be working 6am-9pm daily thrashing to accomplish the following:

Section front crossmember 2" and relocate 1" forward.
-Move steering box and pitman arm up 2" and 1" forward to match
-redo lower a-arm cup (mold in bag mount)
-new steering linkage

Make new tranny cross member/modify stocker
-not sure exactly how yet
-3 speed stick (bell housing mount currently)

Clearance trailing arm cross member for exhaust
-Also flatten bottom for ground clearance
-Keeping 2 piece drive shaft, so I'll check the angles and see where it needs to go vertically to maintain good angles.

KP Components step notch rear to lay on 29" tire
-Redo rear trailing arms
--Modified stock or 2x2" tube, need to draw up plans still.
-Watts Link to locate rear (speedway motors).
-Bag mounts somewhere on stock arms, but not stock location.
-Shock mounts, possible located to use stock shocks.

York 209
I already mounted a York 209 on the engine and have the existing Viair compressor as a switched emergency backup.

Rough clearance the bed for notch and wheels.

Hopefully that can get done in my time frame so I can enjoy my truck before going to boot camp this summer.
