Frame, 3.73 rear, various free sheetmetal
I've got a few pieces of sheet metal left from my parts truck. I also have a long bed frame that as of right now still has the front end attached but it's coming off this weekend weather permitting. I have a rearend with coil rear and 6 lug axles with 3.73:1 gears as well as four 15 in 6 lug wheels (I think they're 8 in wide) with 275/60R15 tires with plenty of tread left. The fenders are in decent shape other than the front corners. The hood has a few small dents along the front edge. The bed front is in good shape other than some scratches on one side and some surface rust. The rearend needs a new pinion seal but is otherwise fine as far as I know ( I haven't taken the cover off since it was taken out of my truck). The rearend is $25, the frame is $50 and the rest is free. No shipping on anything, all must be picked up where it is. The frame is in Severn, MD and the rest is in Ft Meade, MD. If you would like any other pics let me know. I'm moving to CO next month and all this stuff has to go, anything I still have after next weekend is going to the dump. I'd rather give it away than throw it away.

Before anyone asks about the bench seat it's spoken for, unless you want to fight him for it. The picture is about 6 months old and he's put on about 30lbs since then.

I live in Denver, can you bring the ring/pinion and carrier (basically all rearend internals except axle shafts) with you out here to Colorado? If so I would love to have that stuff, name your teardown price.
Thanks, Rob |

Re: Frame, 3.73 rear, various free sheetmetal
olblue you're right, ScottH didn't post in the thread he sent me a PM. I just looked at the Buying and Selling Code of Conduct and it says
III. All sales must be posted in thread, a reply stating who is in line is also suggested. Accepting sales via Private Messages will result in confusion within the thread and is strictly prohibited. My bad. I'll fix the list of who's in line. ScottH is still number one for the other stuff since no one else has shown interest (other than SunTzu with the rear but I'd prefer to get rid of it here if I can.) oldschooler #1 for frame/frontend #3 wheels and tires ScottH #1 for front sheetmetal, rearend, # 2 wheels and tires olblue60@aol.com #2 for frame, #1 wheels and tires SunTzu #2 rearend

Re: Frame, 3.73 rear, various free sheetmetal
Gee I thought free was not a sale. Guess I can still learn something new after being on this board for almost 6 years.
No harm, no foul.....I'll pass on the parts to those in line. Good luck with the move. Scott

Re: Frame, 3.73 rear, various free sheetmetal
ScottH I decided to look at this thread one more time. It appears that the rear axel that you asked for was a purchase item. One thing for sure, PMs are confusing

Gee oldblue I'm so glad you decided to check the thread one more time.
Like I said, I'm no longer in line. I was a bad boy so I dropped out.

scotth 6years on the board and you are ignoring the rules. Someone notices and you forgive me, no foul. After sorting out the confusion you have made, you send a sarcastic reply. ...Get over yourself

Re: Frame, 3.73 rear, various free sheetmetal
Wow, I never expected my first trading ad to turn into such a huge ordeal, all I wanted to do was get the stuff out of my back yard without hauling it to the dump. ScottH are you wanting to drop out of line for everything or just the wheels and tires? I'm sorry if I've stepped on anyones toes trying to fit a black and white rule, no PMs for sales, to an instance that's a little more gray, the wheels and tires are free. If I had any hair long enough to get a grip on it would be in the process of being pulled out right now. Next time I post an ad I'll know to make sure to specify no PMs to avoid a similar situation in the future. Maybe the rules should be amended to include giving stuff away and not just sales. I really need a beer now.

Re: Frame, 3.73 rear, various free sheetmetal
Lated, I am sorry if I caused undo stress due to an error on my part, please forgive me. Since other folks are being rather sensitive about this I feel it best if I drop out all together. You have been extremely understanding and I hope everything turns out, as what you are doing is helping out other board members, which I have to say is wonderful.
I said a while ago no harm no foul, I am in the wrong here, and trying to do the right thing by stepping aside.

Re: Frame, 3.73 rear, various free sheetmetal
ScottH,
I hope this doesn't confuse the issue, but, please don't drop out for fear of my getting upset. I am not local and have no problem sitting in line, my request for the rearend was in the event that Lated couldn't sell it locally and was in a position to just throw it away. Rob |
