I ran a new best of 11.37 with a 1.58 60ft. a 4.609 330' a 7.185 1/8 mile and 9.434 1000' and 11.370 at 115.81. Ran it on my last pass not knowing that bumping my timing up to 40deg would pick it up that much. Friend of mine said that i was spinning when i took off. I watched the video and i didn't do a very good burn out. But i still need drag shocks and a cage. Didn't want to try another pass being track officials were probably waiting on me at the starting line lol. If i can figure out on how to post my video i will. Still have some tuning to do. I also weighed my truck and it weighs 3780 without me in it and 3940 with me in it.

I think that if i put some shocks, play with the jetting, move gas tank out of the cab, and a battery relocator kit i think that i can dip a couple more 10ths. Have new cowl hood which will save a few pounds just need to get it painted to match the truck. It's also a show truck and don't really want to loose the chrome and the bucket seats, etc.etc. I would love to try to find some fiberglass bumpers and have them chrome plated so they will look original. I also am deciding to go with a chromemoly cage, i think it will look alright in my truck, just don't know if i want to paint it the same color as the truck or just use scothbrite and clearcoat it. Thanks for all the comments.

If you pulled a 1.58 at Noble on stock suspension, you don't need drag shocks! Congrats on the new time. I didn't make it this last weekend and the weather is going to suck for this weekend.

what have u got for a rearend setup gears, diff, axles?? I'm wanting to build a stout 12 bolt to and u seem to be making some serious hp.

It's the truck 12bolt that comes in these trucks, has moser 33spline axles, c-clip eliminator kit, converted to 5on5 lug pattern, 373 gears that were already in the rearend. Also have moser 1350 yoke, they said that it wouldn't work on the truck 12 bolt. Took it to driveline specalist here in oklahoma city and they said it would so i bought it. Fit perfect. Also, have aluminum driveshaft with 1350 ends. The rearend has early classic 4" drop springs with shock relocators and adjustible trac bar. Shocks are the kyb that come in the lowering kit from early classic. Slicks are the hoosier qtp they are 28x14.5x16's. Had to widden wheel tubs.

It's a full spool by moser, i drive mine on the street a little and have had no problems. I have about 300 miles on whole drivetrain. Friend of mine has had a fulll spool going on 3years now and has had no problems. He has put quite a few miles on his not sure how many though.

mines daily driven with a spool, 4.10s and a th-350. no problems at all. just gas on the freeway

I dont know if you have a swaybar on the front or not,If you do try diconnecting it to free up the front end some.You can also try a 90/10 shock or some ol worn out shocks on the front to help put weight on the rear.Any how it is plenty fast ,good job.

i have a 3000 stall so im always up there. but i cruise the freeway at 55 with a roughly 28 inch tall tire at like 3400 to 3600

I just removed the front sway bar and the brackets. Also removed stock hood and springs, seams that i might be saving around 75lbs or more. Ordered race weight cowl hood from us body source and they said it weighs around 25lbs. I'm also moving battery to the rear under the bed with a drop out battery box.

Another secret, make a good solid airpan when using the cowl hood. Make sure it is sealed tight against the bottom of the hood with some thick foam that wont let air pass through or break its seal to the hood. LOL duct tape works great, just doesnt look the best. UMMM, if you can find the Sterno gel burners like they use to heat food in catering lines, you can rub some on the bottom of the hood, it makes the air passing through the cowl cooler. This may sound extreme, but lets just say been there done that. What oil are you using?

15-40 royal purple synthetic.

Have you heard of Leading Edge oil products?? I dont know if they are still around or not but the oil additive they have works great with Royal Purple synthetics. We found 18 avg horsepower with that stuff on a 900+hp small block. The bearings looked great, never had any problems. Polydyne has TX-7 that works great also. What carburetor are you running?

It' a 950 proform.

Just curious who built your engine? I know a few racers in Oklahoma. The 950 is the way to go with small carbs , I was going to say try the K&N stub stack(if its ported to clear the air bleeds) if your carb has an air horn . What did your truck weigh?? It runs fast no doubt. I ran a bigger tire than you (I think) , I used the 29.5x11.5 Mickey Thompsons with no tubes. They where kind of big but the truck would hook-up anywhere. I ran a 331 with no tourqe, so I can see traction being a problem for you.

weighs 3940 with me in it, awsome engines out of selbyville de. built this motor. carb has no airhorn its made by quick fuel just has purple base plate instead of the red base plate.

3940 lbs. LOL seems funny talking about drag racing with a 4000lb truck dont it. I have a 67 suburban big block truck , cant stand the thaught of what it will weigh. I know the Self's from Durant, and the Freemans, I used to race with them back in the day. I worked with Lump when he ran comp and Pro Stock Truck.
