Opinions needed
I am going to place my order with Kert from DIY4x4 around the end of the month for the shackle flip and FGB52 kit. I have a 78 K10 that I will be taking parts from if I need them but I am looking for 1 ton or at least 3/4 ton running gear. I also have a 700r4 in my 67 now. Here is my problem. I have a th350 and tcase I could pull from the K10 but I like the steep 1st gear and overdrive of the 700. Would it be smarter to pull the 700 for the 350 or source a divorced tcase and leave the 700 in place? I already have to get driveshafts made so a small one for the divorced tcase wont be much but I dont know if the 700 will hold up. I dont plan on abusing my truck no hard core wheeling but I want to do it right the first time. What do you guys think?

Re: Opinions needed
An old friend of mine had a 700 in a Blazer with 35's and 373's and it was such a slug that he had to change to 4.10's. Overdrive was sorta useless.

Re: Opinions needed
that easy by the short 700r4 tail shaft from advanced or buy a spacer or hav one made and bolt the 700r4 in place of the 350 the 350 and 700r4 are the same spline count and bolt patern just remove the back part of the 2wd 700r4 tail shaft and your good to go or at least thats what advanced told me when I thought abought using a 2wd 700r4.
