Rear Diff

I Picked Up My Rear Diff Last Night From Powder Coating. How Should I Go About Cleaning Out The Inside It Has Some Sand Stuck In The Oil That Was Left In Side Thanks

I did mine in two stages: First I used a stiff engine cleaning brush to get the caked grease off using diesel fuel. After I got most of the heavy stuff off, I used spray can cleaner to get the rest. I think I used brake cleaner... Been a while back.
