Re: Good or BAd drop with BB

Get new springs for your big block no matter which way you choose to lower the front. My 79 had a 305 and now has a 454/700r with a 3" drop spindle. The stock small block springs have sagged about 1.5" and when I hit larger bumps my 28" tall tires rub the wheel wells. I have friends with 454's, more drop, (shorter springs with spindles) and taller tires. They don't have problems because the have the bb springs.
