I want to put on a set of tall BBC valve covers on my factory BBC truck, 1970 What do you guys do for an alternator bracket. My shory factory valve covers only clear by about an inch??

I don't remember that the alt was the problem on mine, but I did have some interference with the brake booster. I ended up having to go back to stock height ones on my 2wd Blazer.

Alternator was a problem for me,I went back to shorter covers.I do remember reading somewhere though about a corvette alternator bracket that will do the job for our trucks.If I find the info I will post it.

I Had To Grind A Small Place Off The Housing Of My Alt. No Big Deal

Same with mine hitting the booster. I have Scorpion RR's, so I need the taller covers- ended up buying a hydroboost setup (no booster) out of a junkyard and have to do the swap in order to pull the driver side cover.
