there is no rhyme or reason to which trucks had them installed and which ones didn't. i've seen them mostly on blazers and a few on pickups (neither of my trucks have them but they will at some point).

yes sir, I've only seen them on blazers, none of the trucks I've parted has ever had one but some trucks did come with them

My 72 has the brace but my 71 does not. I'm still looking for the rubber boot and metal hold down ring inside the cab for the transfer case. Have you come across one?
