Re: LMC euro headlight...
Is it a Chinese H4 bulb? I got some H4 lights from flea-bay and the Chinese bulb filaments were broken new out of the box. Got name brand bulbs at the parts store and they've been fine since.

Yea, can replace with newer and more name brand H4's - just sucks to have it happen. Was tempted to call LMC and have them replace, but then Id just have another cheapy.

Re: LMC euro headlight...
Aint that for sure..... not only is the quality in parts hard to find , but services too, I cant stand to rely on anyone, I try to figure it out myself, what is made in america any more? its us buying from the chineeeese that keep them strong, we buy there crap and it allows our market to dive..... Not to get off track, but..... China had an issue with lead content in most everything they make... so I started lookin at my coffee cups, hmmm made in china.... so I started shopping for coffee cups not made in china, I had a hard time finding one... we need to stick together and start looking and buying stuff made in america .....ok I said it.....where was I . oh yea..lights that are cheap..... sorry to hear about your purchase, and yes he's got a good point, if he calls to gripe , they will just send him another bulb that either will be broke in the box, or give him another 3 days of service, why? because its made in China... buy better qualitys

Re: LMC euro headlight...
Small world.. Yea, this board is filled with so so stories on them. Ive spent about 300 bucks with them thusfar, and honestly, not TOO bad. I have to return some parts sometime soon to them, we'll see how that goes.

Re: LMC euro headlight...
I bought those and they've worked grat for like 8 months, and a couple things that i got from LMC were pretty wrong, so when i called em up and just told em what was wrong, they just sent me the right stuff, sometimes giving me a few extra...i like em...

Re: LMC euro headlight...
I looked at that kit, and guessed the bulbs would haft to be low quality for the price. I like Piaa, and have used them for years in all my motorcycles. It only takes one deer strike to convince you to run the most light on a bike that you can....................
The piaa bulbs that most motorcycle shops sell are made to handle more vibration and last longer.........and cost more money, but they are H4 and will work in auto application. |

Re: LMC euro headlight...
At least you can replace the bulbs.... it sucks when your bumper fog lights burn out after only a year (with limited use) and you have to pay $50 for another set...
With my awesome luck a rock destroyed the right one and the left one burnt out...

Re: LMC euro headlight...
It can be a PIAA $250 bulb with a 6 year warranty - but if you touch the bulb surface with greasy fingers (aka - touch it period) you are prone to blowing it within the first several hours of the bulbs life.
The gas inside of any newer style bulb is going to react to the oil in your skin or on it and blow. Halogen, Krypton, or any of the other various kinds sold now - they all heat up, and the outside of the glass will cause a reaction inside the bulb making it blow. I ALWAYS clean my bulbs with alcohol before installing them. Otherwise, you run the risk of wrecking a high dollar (or low dollar) bulb. DLB |
