Question Fuse Block

I need a lower cost method of upgrading my fuse block. Does anyone know if the newer cars have a relay for the accessories, or does it run through the key switch like the older ones. I got a newer fuse block from the junk yard and was thinking of installing it in place of the old one to power my added accessories. The after market ones are around $150.00. Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks, Cole
