wiw 67 c10
im looking at buying another truck, a 67 c10 lwb, with a 327 and 4 speed. its not in to bad of shape, but has rust in the cab floor, and im sure the inner fenders, and the other usual areas.
one thing i dont like about it is theres no power steering. how hard is that to change over? i have a p/s box from a newer one, like a 71 are they the same? i know the p/s bo on 4x4's are diffrent in those years i'll post pics in a minute |

Re: wiw 67 c10
67 (and 68 I think) used a different type of power steering that the later models, however you can use the later model on the 67. You'll need to indent the frame (or space the steering box for clearance. Plus you need the accessories to fit the engine. Other than that it is not that difficult.
You can find more details in the FAQ section of the board

Re: wiw 67 c10
The 67 frame doesn't have the dimple for ps box clearance. There is a FAQ on that as Palf70Step stated above.
Looks like a nice start, maybe a CST with those trim holes.

Re: wiw 67 c10
That's worth $600 for sure. Especially if it runs/drives.

Re: wiw 67 c10
i have someone interested in buying my 69 K10, so i figured i'd replace it with this one, to use it for a parts running truck and just for a spare vehicle. thats what i was biulding the 69 for, but its such a big project and so far from being done i kind of want to give up on it. if i end up buying this one i'll probly paint it flat or satin black and kinda make it a rat rod

Yea, that's what they call it, big sky country. Our sky is huge, either because the earth is curved more up here or because we all have cabin fever about now, lol.

Re: wiw 67 c10
Small window '67s are getting pretty scarce here in Southeast Missouri. We picked up a non-running, well he said it ran when it was parked, 67 C-20 small window with a 6 cylinder, 4 speed and long step-side a while back and paid $300.
It is the most basic truck I have ever seen, doesn't even have a passenger side sun visor. In the picture the sheet metal looks pretty good. If it runs it sure would be worth $600 and if it doesn't and the sheet metal is pretty good it still would be worth it. I would offer less and see what happens. Danny |

Re: wiw 67 c10
The one mud flap must be for the one wheel wonder, or "peg leg". It makes perfect sence, why pay for two if only one wheel is going? It looks like you get a gun rack with the deal, I dont think you can pass this one up.

Re: wiw 67 c10
i love the phrase "ran when parked" what does that have to do with the condition of it today. it usually means they parked it and couldnt get it running again

Re: wiw 67 c10
A lot of the good ole boys around here use the term "it ran when I parked it" and like you said they couldn't get it running so it stayed parked and now it is for sale.

I'd swear those same pics have been on this site before (past year and a half or so)... no?
