1964 Suburban Parts
I just bought a 64 Suburban and was just wondering if anyone would happen to know of a company that has a good selection of parts for them. I have found some stuff but could use more. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 1964 Suburban Parts
Welcome from another Suburban guy! Most of the truck places carry some burban parts, like weatherstripping, tail light lenses, etc. But some of the unique parts I'm still looking for sources on. Is yours Chevy or GMC?

Re: 1964 Suburban Parts
Its a Chevy. I have found weatherstripping and window rubber as well as floor pans. But I haven't found body mounts or much else. Where did you find the lenses at.

Re: 1964 Suburban Parts
Lenses (front park and tail) I found at Classic Parts (www.classicparts.com). Both worked well, and the tail lenses are an exact match of the originals. Same here on the screws, Protrash. Phillips and slotted assortment.
I'm also looking for body mounts for the rear portion of the body. The front stuff is the same as the pickup. I want to separate my body and chassis, but if I do that, I'm putting it back together with new mounts.

Re: 1964 Suburban Parts
I will tell you what I know about the rear body mounts. They are not made in the after market. Or at least in my over a year of searching they are not. I'm having mine made at the shop that is doing some other work on my 61. I've found the best quarter window seals at Steele, and found a good front rubber mat, although the link is some where saved on this computer. Also the window locks are not made after market as well.
