longbed caravan camper for free in Reno
I have a 1971 long bed caravan camper with boat rack that I want to get rid of. I bought it about a month ago and then realized I really don't want it. It's in usable condition, not too beat up all glass is in good shape, the inside is o.k. but really could be re-panelled (panelling is ratty). The guy I got it from bought it new in 1971 for his 1971 chevy. If you want it let me know, if I don't here from anyone on here within a week I am going to sell it locally (free for anyone here). You will have to remove the tailgate and tailgate hardware to install this camper and bring some help to transfer it (its heavy). Thank you

I do not know what you would call it exactly, its not an actual camper, its more of a topper. Like a large camper shell that has a big door to get into the bed. It is heavily insulated and has wood paneling on the inside, and has a cabinet built into it. I do not have a picture, but I can take some. They are very expensive to buy new, but mine is old. I really like it, and bought it to sleep in when I go to sand mountain with my atv's, but I want something that I can take off when I am not going to the mountain.

Some pics. Also has a boat rack, but I had to take it off to fit in the garage. Sorry, I left it in the garage to take pics.

This stuff kills me. Ive been looking for something along these lines for years. Nothings ever close. I called on one locally and the guy said him and his buddies just smashed it up because there was no interest....Someday Ill find one.
