Looked at a truck today that has me confused. Its a 68 swb 4wd with 3/4 ton stuff under it(8 lug axles). Did this come factory? I looked at the SPID and its a legitimate swb 4wd according to that. I also looked at the frame and it hasn't been cut and welded back together like I was expecting when I saw the axles. Any help on the 3/4 ton front and rear would be great, I would like to buy the truck and need to be sure its what I think it is.

Re: bumfuzzled

Some one put 3/4 ton stuff under it. All short boxes were 1/2 tons both 2wd and 4x4. There are lot of Blazers of this body style and 73-87 that the off-road club around here have put 3/4 ton axles under. Why? I don't know.

Yup, all 3/4 ton trucks that came with beds were at least a longbed.
