Can somebody give me a break down of the width differences between 67-72 and the gear ratio. Which is best?

Going to need some more info man. Tire size, tranny, planned use of this vehicle? Are you going to use it as a truck, are you looking for MPG's and so forth....

Re: 68 C10 Rearend
from backing plate to backing plate;
67 - early 70 56 inches mid 70 - 72 57.5 inches (71 and 72 are 5 lug, 67 - 70 are 6 lug... all 4X4 are 6 lug regardles) Typical gears found are 3.73 and 3.07, and 4.10 on ocasion. For the 700 tranny, the 3.73 is generally considered the best ratio for MPG and modorate performance |
