Re: how far can I lower and keep front inner fenderwells?
I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure it all depends how wide your wheels are and the backspacing/offset of the wheel itself, as well as the tire size. These factors all come into play when stuffing a wheel/tire into a fender well.

Re: how far can I lower and keep front inner fenderwells?
hey LOWROLLIN70GMC....did you just use dropped spindles and springs?? And how do you become members to these groups, like your ARMED FORCES group??
as for my dilema, I got (what I think is) a good deal on a 67 last week. It's in really good shape so I didnt want to start cutting away to lay the frame but the more and more I look at the BUILDS section, Im getting thoughts in my mind.... It was painted 10 yrs ago but it's always sat in a garage....there's some very minor rust in the passenger side rocker but it's very minimal... What do you guys think of this deal.....$4500 for a 67 Chevy with a BRAND NEW ZZ4 motor, all new chrome, new windshield, new seals, single piece side windows, new carpet kit, door panels, armrests, visors.... all original parts.... any a few misc items in the bed, lower control arms, 2 steering colums, 2 steering wheels, blahblahblah... ???? Some pics of a truck with 20" and 22"s and what they did to them (spindles/springs) would be GREAT!! Thanks guys! Last edited by DrtyJack75; 02-28-2008 at 10:33 PM. |

No no no. You got me all wrong. I got that link from someone on here, I forgot. As a matter of a fact, somebody has the link inserted in the signature. I think that's how got it.

My ride is on air, the above picture is with dropped spindles, disc brakes, and bags bolted in.
As of next week, that pic will be my ride height and dropped height will be on the ground. Airbags rock!

I'm running 17" rims but here is my truck, aired-out with the stock inners, 2" drop spindle and lower cups cut down to 1-1/2".
