4.10s to 3.73s????

I have 4.10s right now in my truck and it revs very high down the high way. I was wondering would i notice a significant decrease in RPMs at highway speeds? Also how would it affect the acceleration of the truck?...dont want to be too slow Thanks

The 3.73 turns approx. 90% of the engine revs of the 4.10, which means that if you're turning 4000 at a given speed with the 4.10. the 3.73 will drop the rpm to about 3600. It's not a huge difference, but it might help the mileage. As far as launching the truck, it really depends on how much hp/torque you have. If it breaks loose pretty easily now, it will probably still break loose. If it struggles to get out of its own way, it's going to struggle a little more.
