Finding c10 people locally.

So friggin fun.

1) See a orange 68 at a car wash, swing back and say hi. Guy is trying to start some local meets and gives me his card. Turns out I have met him before out with a mutual friend.

2) Packing (we are moving) the truck this afternoon, a 67 stepside swb comes by and we chat for 30 minutes or so and talk about what we've done, plans, etc...

I pointed em both over here - maybe I can bolster our ATX membership

Good deal.

Everytime I try that with someone from here with one, I get the look or comment "What's the Internet?" (and I am not kidding, ask Krue )

Re: Finding c10 people locally.

There does seem to be quite a few nice old trucks here in central texas. I haven't met anyone who has one of these things that wasn't cool with standing around talking truck. It does freak me out when people come up to me sitting at a light or in a parking lot though. Then again I still do it to other people who have a nice old car or truck. Well maybe not at the stop light but you get the point.

Re: Finding c10 people locally.

I'm out in South Austin *cedar creek* and i'm SURE my 69 cst isn't near the shape anyone elses is in. But I think this weekend there is a hot rod swap meet. Kinda small but still might be interesting. Close enough to Cabeals for the trip. The ol 69 is in 'rebuild' right now so the DD would have to do.
