Re: what fan setup

if you don't have an AC, you might be able to mount the fan in front of the radiator and wire it to push the air instead of pull.

Re: what fan setup

PS - I dunno if that shroud is made to fit on a 4-core. My radiator is a 3-core.

Smile Re: what fan setup

I am just about done with the A/C install in my truck. I just ordered the fan setup that Brothers has, Item: FS072DF, Price: $329.99

Detailed Description

Custom mounts to factory fan shroud locations. Fan shroud housing incorporates high-speed ram air bypass. High temperature resistant plastic with patented skewed fan blade technology. High efficiency and fully adjustable thermostatic sensor offers increased fuel economy & horsepower. Requires a 70 amp + alternator. You might not have had enough room for this set-up. I just ordered the fan and it should be here in a couple of days.

Here's the link if anyone's interested http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodin...number=FS072DF

Re: what fan setup

I had a dual 11" spal set up in my 67 Chevelle, and it was running a decent temp ( a little over 1/2 on the gauge ) unless it was over 95 degrees. The fans fit nicely between the water pump, and was not a hassel to get out if need be. I was running a dual relay, and if I had it to do over I would try one of the SPAL fan controllers. I hear they are great, and simple to hook up. 3600 CFM If I remember

Re: what fan setup

Hope you don't hit any major bumps with that setup - a lot of the mainstream ties that go through teh radiator fins like that will rip clear through.
