89 suburban oil pressure

Hey guys i recently bought a 89 suburban with a TBI engine in it. i just noticed that my oil pressure gauge seems to idle crazy. it doesnt stay at a set number . my other SWb stayed around 35 psi and this suburban seems to move around, could it just be a gauge problem or something else. thanks and plz help me out

I would guess a sending unit, or ground problem.

when you say sending unit what does that mean.

Oil pressure unit. It's located next to the distributor, driverside. Looks like a small bell.

oh ok thanks for the help. so its just something simply to fix huh. i thought that i had gotten screwed out of a deal. i paid 300 for the suburban and plan to drop this motor in my 86 SWB . Any thoughts or ideals

The burb will haul to the scrap yard for around $250. If there is $50 worth of good parts on it you broke even. Anything above that you made money!

Well the whole interior is in excellent condition. overall is excellent. its just that i want to transfer everything to the pick up truck. thanks for the help everyone
