Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

My mom bought this Christmas of '06. My step dad and I told her over and over not to get it but she insisted. . .I hate it. Not because of a brand name, nothing like that. It is not roomy at all, I'm 5' 10" and I have to angle my legs so my knees don't hit the steering column/dash. The interior LOOKS awesome. . .and the stock stereo sounds great. . .BUT I can ride a bicycle with more horsepower. UGH!!!! lol and the worst part is, I have to drive this if I work on my truck. . . .

Re: Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

Its an "H" thing I guess. I was surprised when I first seen that an H2 was a new body on a Tahoe or Suburban chassis and when the H3 can out it is on a Canyon/Colorado chassis.

Im 6'2" and wouldnt like to ride in an H3 everyday.

Re: Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

Well the H2 came out and it is all part of this "hey look at me" attitude that is sweeping the nation. The H3 is just a more normalized version.....less obnoxious than the H2. But it is a newer vehicle, you could be driving a POS. Just get one of those vanity plate frames that says my other car is a porsche.....and put a piece of duct tape over it and write what your truck is .

Re: Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

I used to have to walk whenever my truck was apart; spent nearly an entire winter walking to work when I did my motor swap. I would have been happy driving a Yugo, let alone one of those.

Re: Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

At least you don't have to drive a Ford Torino station wagon when your truck is down. I don't like the looks of any of the Hummers, but we sure have a lot in the neighborhood. Oh well, it is their money. I can waste mine on things a lot better looking.

I wonder how much all that extra garb weighs? The Colorado/Canyon is designed to carry a load once in a while, the H2 is carrying it all the time!
Thats why its always fun to pull into a gas station. its part of the look at me now syndrome.

It`s a downsized vehicle, what do you expect? You can stretch out and squeeze your wallet or squeeze in and stretch your gas money. It`s the same old story.Beat the crap out of walking.

I would have rather of drove that than some of the cars I've driven in my life... It has about the same about of room our Trailblazer has, and about the same power.

She should trade it in for a new H-2; 0-60 in 7.1 secs. 1/4 mile 15.7 (Car+Driver)
It's got the 6.2 Escalade motor.

Re: Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

Yes, I agree that it is better than walking. . .and like i said it looks great. . .i just do not understand why you would spend that kind of money on something made of mostly plastic. . .i mean one day it was locked and my brother tried to get in and roke the handle completely off (he is 8 and weighs 52 lbs)

Re: Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

lol eh.. . . i think i'm good. . .but this isn't so much a complaint, as it is seriously a legit question, why spend i think 38,000 on that. . .when there are things MUCH nicer for THAT amount of money. . .like maybe a metal vehicle, haha

Re: Legit Question. . . .WHY?!?!?!?

I take it she has no idea who Dave Ramsey is.
$38,000? what are the monthly payments + higher insurance + higher fuel cost come to? would make for a nice healthy retirement.

her only hope now is for someone to steal it and it catches on fire.

Must be a hummer thing. I'm 5'8 and i have more than enough room in my canyon crew cab. Why people will spend that much on a mid size vehicle i will never know.

I'm not sure, we had a 2000 tahoe, and the payments are like 80 more a month now. . .but the gas is about the same too, it's an inline 5. . .

haha that could be arranged
