can someone run my V.I.N ?

i just bought this 68 and it has a v-8 but being the noob that i am, i dont know what size motor it has. here is the vin : CS148S114325
i appreciate all info.

The VIN won't tell you what engine it has. ONly the build sheet or SPID in the glove box can tell you that info. And since your truck originally had an inline, you could have ANYTHING in there.
However, your VIN breaks down as;
CS148S114325
C- 2wheel drive
S inline 6 (250 or 292)
1- 1/2 ton
4- cab with bed (step OR fleet)
8- 1968
S-0 built in St louis
114325 would be the 14325th one built on that assembly line at that plant for that year.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/Chevyear.html has the VIN info.

if you go to main board the vin decoder is in the menu on the left side of the screen welcome aboard

thanks for the help. im a little discouraged now. i thought i had an original v-8 truck. so i guess my truck has already been molested?

is there an engine number decoder? this number was on the block in front of the passenger side head: T0806DE

Hi, this the list of all DE suffix engine, with the casting number at the rear of engine you have a better idea if it's a 283 or 307 and what year range.
