Beat to death: But..... tires.

I have a '69 C20 with stock suspension and no intention of dropping it. It has the 16.5 factory (I think) rims, but the tires are mismatched rollers that need to be replaced. I do a decent amount of fwy driving in the truck, would like to fill the wheelwells and get something a little wider, at least in the back. Looking for tire recommendations, I can't wrap my head around the proper way to measure tires when they're not measured in inches yet. Looking at the BFG T/As, but something with a decent warranty would be good. Not opposed to running smaller in the front, as long as they all use the rims I have. Any insight would be great...

Only picture I have at work, I believe they're the stock rims. Looking to givi it a better cruising ratio on the freeway. Thanks...

I have 265 60 r16 bfg t/a's on my 3/4 ton wheels(mine are 16's). They fit nicely and look good. Type in tire size converter on yahoo or google and you can convert metric tire sizes to standard very easily, there are a ton of free tire size converters out there. hope this helps

33 x 12.5 x 16.5's on 9.75 inch wide wheels. They will go on 8.25-in rims which are more common. Forgive the wagon wheels on the Longhorn...temporary while tires are getting swapped onto the slots.

We are doing - for now - replacing the old 16.5 rims with stock steel 16 inch rims, most any maybe 73-87 3/4 chevy will have the 16 x 6.5 rims. 245/75/16 is a real common tire and fits nice and should be a little taller than what you have now. A 265/75/16 will fit on that rim and be taller yet. Maybe 265 on back and 245 on front ?
