Question value of a tach/vacuum cluster??

this IS NOT a "for sale" ad--if i decide to sell it, i'll post in the parts section. i just picked up a tach/vacuum cluster from a c/60 and curious as to value. it's very clean, the printed circuit is nice and the mileage is 44,xxx. i posted in the WIW section but i guess it doesn't get much traffic.

Re: value of a tach/vacuum cluster??

From the one's I've seen on ebay, I would have to say anywhere from $250-$300 give or take a few dollars. Just my 2 cents, could be worth more if it's in as good shape as you say.

Re: value of a tach/vacuum cluster??

toss a new (light truck) bezel on it and clean it up, and it'd probably get 400 or more IMO.

Re: value of a tach/vacuum cluster??

I just got one from a Board member about a month ago for $187.00 shipped, everthing works . I think I got a Good deal.
The only thing is I think the Tach is not showing right. Can that be adjusted?
Not to hijack.

I think this was a super deal, maybe just a one time deal. I've seen them on ebay around $400, I would think you could get at least that.

You may have the wrong tach. There were 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder electric tachs.

I snagged one of these big truck tach/vacuum clusters off E-Bay last fall for the huge sum of $50 Buy It Now. Right place right time for that one though...

There is a hole in the back of the tach that has an adjustment/calibration screw. Give that a try, but I suggest you know where you started moving it from so that is it doesn't fix the issues you can put it back where it was and send it off to the tachman(google) and he will repair/calibrate it for around $125.00

Re: value of a tach/vacuum cluster??

Thanks Byrd, thought that was what that slot was for. It is a V-8 Tach.

Re: value of a tach/vacuum cluster??

Jerry, try hooking up the tach to make sure it works as that will improve your ability to respond to that inevitable question--. I've bought tach dashes that didn't work but looked like new. Huck

Huck,
when/if i decide to sell it, i'll hook it up in my other truck to make sure it all works.i wouldn't want to try selling one for top dollar if i was uncertain about it being functional. thanks.
