No key for the doors? The ignition key is the same key used for the doors.

Re: Doors locked & keys are lost
Call either a lock smith or a towing/ recovery company. They are cheaper than a window. a slim jim has a chance of breaking the linkage inside of a door if used wrong. a lock smith will be needed unless you decide to change all the locks. If you just want it open, a towing / recovery company can get it open for you. If the ones there are like the ones here they can be in the car in less than 30 seconds. It will take longer for you to identify it as the proper car, than it will take them to open it.

Re: Doors locked & keys are lost
does this have a sliding rear window with the plastic "buckle"? there is a kit to replace those in case someone uses a screwdriver to pry it open from the outside. wink-wink

And to the OP, I agree with 89 crew, it'll take you longer to identify the truck as yours than it will take him to get in. I've never had to have it done, so can't tell you the cost, but I don't imagine that it'd be anywhere near as expensive (on your wallet or your time) as breaking something on the vehicle trying to do it yourself (and screwing it up like I would if I tried).

Re: Doors locked & keys are lost
Any you-pull-it type junkyards in your area? LOL
Windows are cheap! Or you can do the same as the the local towing company did my 93. Small wedge at the top rear of the door, and use a smooth 1/4" or so rod with a hook bent on the end. Wedge the door open just enough to get the rod through ad then reach in and pull/push the lock knob. I've did this to my truck once myself after I watched the towtruck guy do it at Menards parking lot the time before....

Re: Doors locked & keys are lost
I think you have to move the rod toward the front of the truck to unlock it.

Re: Doors locked & keys are lost
If you have AAA plus they used to open them for free. I drove a tow truck and did plenty of them. If not see if you can find a cheap lock out kit. S10's are easy to get into. The tool you need will be a rod thats straight for about 12 inches then turns up into a half moon with a triangle on the end. wedge the door slide the tool inside the glass over the door panel and move the lock. I dont have my kit here to take a pic of the tool. If you need one I can do it tomorrow.

I found a broke cb antenna about 4ft long. bent me a lil hook on the end , and i was in it in about 10 minutes. Went inside & got the ignition key from sis , but the battery was dead from sittin . oh well always something.
