c20 Front crossmember same as c10?
Hi, does anyone know if a 73 3/4 Ton, dual rear wheel, 3+3 truck has the same front suspension crossmember as a 1/2 ton? I bought the truck for the drivetrain but now need a crossmember to convert an early 60's truck. I'm not concerned about control arms and spindles being different. Thanks in advance.

Re: c20 Front crossmember same as c10?
I tried to move a crossmember from an 85 1/2 ton to an 81 3/4 ton. I compared the bolt patterns and I thought it was all going to work out... Everything and everyone I asked said that it would work. When I tried to put the crossmember in place and found out that my 3/4 ton frame & crossmember was narrower than the 1/2 ton. It was a difference of about 3/8 an inch.
I ended up using the 1/2 ton control arms with the 3/4 ton crossmember to get it put back together. Been driving it daily for about 5 months and it works great. Hope this helps. Mike
