While I'm in there?
I'm going to put dropped spindles on my 66. I just put new springs in and while I was tearing things apart everything seemed to be in good shape. Should I get new control arm shafts? The old ones seemed tight, tons of grease everywhere. Replace them now or call it good? How long should they last?
I searched and didn't come up with any threads to answer this. Chop |

I got a 67 and my where good, you can bolt it back to the frame and then try to twist the control arm and see if there is any play in it, if not than should be good to go.

just fyi, there are things you will not be able to see if you don't take it apart that may be damaged. The big caps that thread into the control arm are prone to cracking on the inside lip. Also, the threads on the shafts wear. I can get pics of both of these for you if you like.
