8 1/2 foot bed ?
Hey guys, I know yall will know about the 8 1/2 foot bed trucks. I have a 65 el camino for sale, and a guy emailed me wanting to trade his 70 gmc 402 BB, 400 auto tranny. He says it has extra long bed. Are these the longhorn trucks?
In my el camino ad I stated that I wanted to build a 67-72 for my son so he knew what I liked. This would be my son's DD so I'm not crazy about the BB.(gas!!!) BUT I WANT IT. Any thoughts.

You could sneak out there one night and pull that BB out to put in your own truck!

Yes and no.The GMCs were known as Custom Campers.Kinda confusing since the name applies elsewhere. Why do I feel like I`m doing Andy`s job?

Re: 8 1/2 foot bed ?
in a round about way... yes, it's a longhorn.
Like Tim said, the GMC was called the Custom Camper instead of longhorn... but it's like calling a GMC a C/10 when it's actually a C/1500. Can you get any photos of it? Any more details? |
