title says it all either I buy an adapter or I will sell my tranny and xfer bought the truck with a 400 and 203 broke the adapter off flush with the transfer and cracked the transfer now I have a 205 but no adapter long story short swerved to miss a dog hit a big azz rock in a ditch smack dab on the xfer bottom and the rest is history literally

Is the adapter a figure 8 or the round 6.

I have a K-case Th350 to a 203, are the 400's different? Also have 350 to 205

Be sure you get the "short" adapter (it's really rare, as in never seen a stock one, can buy one from Stak4x4 for the round 6 bolt pattern NP205.

A 203 used the shortest output shaft in the Th400. NP 205 can use two separate length Th400 output shafts, one that will work with the 203 Th400 and one that won't (although I've never seen a stock one, I've read about 'em).

The two on the left are t-case input shafts used with Th400's. A 205 typically used the second one from the left where the 203 used the first one on the left.

You can switch inputs amongst the 205s.

A TH350/205 combo would be 10 spline male or 27 spline female input and not mate up to his transmission, some were mail input with a sleeve (see the ones on the right in that picture).

His price on that adapter is very good either way.

The 205 you have, what bolt pattern is it? 8 holes or 6 holes?

I have several output shafts (for the cost of shipping) I could send you, depending on the thickness of Mike's adapter and the bolt pattern on your 205.

The turbo 400 205 case has a bigger bearing for the input shaft so if you use either a 10 or 27 spline case it will have to be bored to the bigger bearing size to fit the 32 spline input shaft.
The 10 spline 205 is for the stick shift trans.
The 27 spline 205 is turbo 350 both use a sleeve.
The turbo 400 has a 32 spline male out put shaft and the 205 will have a 32 spline female input shaft.
I didn't know thy made a adapter and thats cool to find out it will save me some headache's down the road too.

You should try to find a th400/205 set-up out of a big block one ton, early to mid 80s i believe. having the whole set-up would prolly be better than piecing, but that's just me.
