66 Burb?
Saw a pantina 66 burb for sale locally.
Sign said rebuilt engine and brakes, $1500 Anyone's here? I am thinking of calling on it, that price is too good. |

you have to look at it. Rear cab mount are common areas that go bad, But other than that there isn't anythng that you can't rebuild. If it's an auto it's worth 1500, heck even if it's a 4 speed it's worth it.. Check same spots that you would on 67-72 truck, windshield channel inside and out, also pop the hood and take a look at the fire wall.
There cool and fun... Other thank those spots and floors panels near the kick panels. It should be cool. Most of the burbs had a variety of options. Look for Deluxe trim, Stainless windshield trim etc.... |

Yeah, it looks well worth the asking price in the pics. It looks like it's a 63 instead of a 66 though. I say go for it. Everybody needs too many projects.

Looks like is is worth $1,500.00 to me, even though it is a '63 and not a '66.
There were 4,685 1/2 ton 2wd 115" wheel base Suburbans with rear doors produced in 1965 and 6,717 in 1966. There were 4,834 1/2 ton 2wd 115" wheel base Suburbans with rear gate produced in 1965 and 5,334 in 1966. There were 444 1/2 ton 4x4 115" wheel base Suburbans with rear doors produced in 1965. There were 433 1/2 ton 4x4 115" wheel base Suburbans with rear gate produced in 1965. This is not a complete production number listing, but it has some information. now why wouuld you say 1/2 ton swb suburban as there were no lwb 1/2 ton in either 2 or 4w/drive

It is an ambulance that I picked up and was stretched out; though the tag still says 115"
I guess that I am of an age(which I don't feel old) when a coupe was a coupe , a coach was 2 doors and a sedan was 4 doors and you didn't have to say a 2dr sedan or a 4dr sedan; you knew what was meant by a coach or sedan. but who cares thanks ron so if you ever have a request for a set of the big second doors on the side .
