Smoking

what is blue smoke mean come out of the pipes at high rpm and about 85-100 mph
and what do i need to do to fix it thanks

rings getting a bit worn. Does it puff blue on start up? Maybe just start out with a head job and see if it makes any difference

no smoking on start that i can see i will check it in the morn
i was wondering if it could be a bad ajustment on my carb as well
i was told it only happend when i kiked the 4 barrel in thanks for any sugestions

Carbeuretor (fuel) related smoke would be black, not blue at all. Besides, a well-tuned engine shouldn't really be smoking ever. That's oil you're burning.

What kind of RPMs are you turning?

it was close to 4000 rpms or some thing like that i was paying more atten to the road

Sounds like the engine is just showing it's age. I wouldn't worry about it too much, until it starts spitting blue smoke all the time..

Blue / white smoke out the tail pipe = oil
Black smoke out the tail pipe = fuel
Steam out the tail pipe = OH NO!...
