2004 2wd Suburban
Everbody,
A few weeks ago I got the Burb. I love it! It is by far, the nicest thing I have owned. It has 80000 miles. Also has 5.3, 4L60E tranny & 3.73 gears. So far, I have changed the spark plugs & spark plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, added gear oil to the rear diff & changed the oil & filter. I still plan on taking it in & having the tranny fluid changed & filter replaced. I hate changing tranny fluid, so I am going to have it done. I bought a PCV valve to replace, but, even though, Checkers, NAPA, etc. list a PN on their website, the PVC on this truck is not replaceable. It is built into the driver's side VC. Anybody ever hear of this?? I confirmed this with a couple different Chevy dealers. Also, what about the Dexcool?? Should I flush it all that out & replace the thermostat & use regular coolant?? This is one of the things I usually do when I buy a used car. I did this on my 99 Chevy, but I had to because I replaced the waterpump. |

Re: 2004 2wd Suburban
I recently replaced my wifes 93 2wd suburban with a 06 4wd. At first it seemed a good thing because of snow and ice, but now the winter is gone and so still is the better milage of the 2wd. Do you ever win?
