It was great to meet Bob & Shawn. I picked up a few parts in Newton & visited with the guys for a while, then drove to Ottumwa, IA to look at this truck and then on to Tracy, IA to look at a complete rear end with trailing arms. I met a couple of great guys there too but they didn't know about the board so I wrote down the web site address for them.

I put about 200 miles on the white truck yesterday.

It's always nice to meet new truck guys.....

Nope, I made him an offer on it but there was a guy on his way down from Des Moines to look at it and he wanted to wait and see if he wanted it. He's supposed to call me if the guy from Des Moines doesn't take it.

It's a pretty nice minimal rust truck but it was painted 12 years ago and has been sitting since (inside most of the time) so it's starting to show it's age....

I would have to carry a step ladder around with me or put springs on the bottom of my shoes to be able to get up in the thing though. Man, is it up in the air....

Bob, what do you need to get your motor back together? A small journal 327 crank? I can keep an eye out for parts if you let me know what you need...

I think I will sell the small journal and build the large journal that is origional to the truck !!! Gonna build it stout enough to take the 144 or 177 blower I will purchase hopefully by the end of summer !!!! For now it will be just a carb to get it going . I will start a new engine build thread soon !! Look out for" Junkyard Dog " that's what I will name this one . Bob

taco johns cruise nights? share the info man, where is that at?

there are a good number of Iowans on this site. hopefully a good number of them can make the midwest meet. Otherwise, i say we make a plan to form a 67-72 section in the good guys show. Leon, you bringin' the 67 out this year?

corn, you got any plans of heading down south for the midwest meet?
