Well i finally got my factory AC in my non AC 69. Gathered up a new fan switch too. But the fan isn't running like it should.

From the selector i have Off, Low, Med, High.

The fan speed runs Off, Low, "High", Low.

I'm unsure if the Med setting on the switch and what the fan is doing is realy the fastest the fan will turn. If the low fan speed on the high setting is just waiting for the resister to kick in.

Does it have something to do with the resistor in the heater box?? Like i said this factory AC is new and i'm not sure exactly how it operates when hooked up right. Does it need to read some temp on the resistor before the High will kick in??

I wish I could help you with how it works exactly,but I can't.
What I can tell you is that I had a very similar situation in my little s-blazer with a surprisingly similar set up,and it turned out to be the switch itself.

FOUND IT!!!

ground going to the relay. I didn't have it hooked up. Thats one to remember.

What A/C System did you buy?

I just parted together a factory AC system from EvilBay, craigslist, LMC, and a local guy, Darrell, who's puting vintage air in a 67, and gave me the inside and outside housings. Very cool guy.

Here's a pic of what i started with.

John from Yuba City sent me the vent cut out templates for both sides, got them today.

I'll post a pic or two tomorow of what it all looks like put together.
