My 82 daily driver
Last Wednesday I bought this truck as a stock truck with 15" rally wheels. Thursday night I tore the front suspension apart and rebuilt everything. I have built numerous square body trucks and had a lot of parts laying around such as Spindles, Bags, Front cups and plates, shackles, and a flip kit so I decided to give it a better stance. The front has a 3" DJM Splindle with Air Ride Technoligies cool ride kit on it and the rear has a DJM flip kit, 2" Djm Shackle, and a 1" lowering block.

Re: My 82 daily driver
Well with the rear being static dropped 8 inches i couldn't even get the rally with that big tire back under the truck. I wanted to leave the rallys on it but i couldn't so i robbed these wheels off my 86 stepside.

Re: My 82 daily driver
I actually do. I have a pair of leaf spring hangers, a rear 2 link and panhard bar if you are planning on putting air ride on the rear of your truck, and i also have a complete set of Rally wheels with tires, beauty rings and center caps and a spare.

Re: My 82 daily driver
To me it looks like one side of the rear is lower than the other. What kind of frame clearance did you run in the back?
Looks sweet, snatch a sport rear bumper and your set.

Re: My 82 daily driver
looks good but don't you have to air up the front to turn?
Also is your bumper slopping down in back like from front to rear of it? or am I seeing things? I think it sits great though, alot of drop out back too. Looks great that way.

Re: My 82 daily driver
You are right. In one of the pics from one side I didn't have the 1 inch lowering block in the rear. When I took the other pic i had the lowering block in the rear.

Re: My 82 daily driver
The front has no clearance issues other that the front fender wells. I cut the tops of them out to clear the tires. I also had to trim the lip on the inner side of the front fender so the tires would clear when turning.

Re: My 82 daily driver
Guys you are off topic and had better watch it because they'd take points away.
Trust me I know it happened to me recently. I always wondered how people could turn with the tires tucked, after thinking about it I guess the center line of the tire doesn't move out much. Also a good idea on trimming the lip, never really thought of that one LOL. Thanks for the info, love the truck.
