Please Help!!!
Ok heres the deal, i have a 1968 chevy truck. long bed fleetside. And i have some crazy wiring issues that i cant seem to diagnose. When i press on the brake pedal my pass. front parklight comes on and so does the right turn signal indicator. And when my headlights are on and i press the brake pedal my pass. side rear goes completely out no lights at all. and i have no right turn signal which could just be a bad turn signal cam or switch. Please help this is my daily driver as a 16 year old so i need it to be reliable. I have already cleaned and made sure i have adequate ground on the lights.

Re: Please Help!!!
First make sure all your light bulbs are good. If not sure replace it. They are cheap. Next, make sure all the connections are good. You can unplug em a couple of times and that should do. Next recheck all of your grounds. It sounds like a ground problem to me. I am not an expert but I have fixed a few problems. If this doesn't help I would start checking switches.

Re: Please Help!!!
Alright, i appreciate it, many people have told me ground issue and the problem was alot worse before but i still cant seem to figure out this last bug, would perhaps some type of dielectric grease on the fittings do any good?

Re: Please Help!!!
It sounds like you may have some grounding issues.
I'd start checking the grounds on all the lights. I know that sounds like a PITA, but it is FREE. Hopefully, somebody else will chime in with some other ideas. The folks here are great people & always willing to answer questions & help. And their knowledge is encyclopedic.

Re: Please Help!!!
Here is what I would do...
Replace your bulbs. 4 1157 bulbs (same front and back) Now, check this and let us know what you find; I have a feeling your 4 way flasher knob on the right side of the column is broken... and if so, I'd bet they are in the on position, and the flasher has been removed from the fuse block. (there should be 2 round things plugged in, one for the turn signals, one for the 4 ways) Re-check your grounds too... but I don't think this sounds like a ground issue to me. Could this be a possible bad turn signal switch?

Re: Please Help!!!
It is most likely a bad turn signal switch. All of the light functions (including brake lights) besides headlights run through it. I never knew this until I had some of the same problems with my '67 C-30. The brake light wiring is wired into the turn signal switch so that when your brakes are applied, the light will actually blink instead just being "ON" when you are signaling. A new signal switch fixed all my issues.

Re: Please Help!!!
I would do that... however, just plug it in without mounting it in the column... if the problem is still there, you can take it back no problem.

Re: Please Help!!!
yeah, i tried to deal with that guy on that 1970 cst that he has, but it had way more rust on it then he let on, so i just looked at all of the trucks he had, i guess it would have been october 2006, i really liked that truck, but at that time i wanted the most options i could get.
looks like a solid project David
