New Vin Sticker location

Ok I know the VIN number can be found on the frame, glovebox door and the inside plate on the drivers side. But my drivers door is also marked with a VIN tag. This is a factory tag that I just never noticed for some reason. Is this one of those things that should have fallen off years ago or something only on GMCs? I haven heard any mention of these in the past.

Sorry if it came out a little blurry got excited to find it

All I see for some reason in the red X, but does this tag actually have the VIN number? I've seen tags on doors with a date stamp.

:

It is fairly common to find those on original un-repainted doors, at least in this area anyway

My '71 GMC has one. Not in real good shape, but the vin is still readable
