im looking for a alternators to rebuild for my truck

this is for my 71
the number is stamped on top behind the mounting ear. it needs to say
1100842 42A

it needs to be in rebuildable condition.
by this i meen no scars and good conectors.

please let me know what you got ,price and a pic, and how you want to be paid

Here's what I have. The 63A one is a working alternator. It came off of a 1974 Nova. $30 shipped or make me an offer.

The 37A is just a core. I just took it off of my 67 k10. $20 shipped

The numbers on mine are:

1100834 37A

It also has: 9M16 12VNEG below that.

It is complete and was working when It was pulled off of a running truck about a month.

it looks like that could be a 37a from a 70 v-8/400 or a 71 v8 454.

does that sound right to you rod? im just curious to see if my book is right.

Most correct sir! It came of of a 70 GMC with a factory 402.

Why would you want to put that alternator in a pickup truck. My records show that alternator goes in a 69 chevrolet cars, including Chevelle, Camaro and Novas. No record of this being put in trucks.

my delco may 1974 book says for a 71 42a its 1100842 and for the optional 61a its 1100849.

i also see the 1100842 for cars .

i cant figure out the 72 its not as easy to read it has more abriviations that i dont know what they are . and it doesnt list the engines like the previous years. sorry.

Got my new one on. The old one (still works great...) is: 1100834 37A.
