Did Junction Blocks Come Stock ???
New guy here again...full of questions...I don't have a '63 wiring diagram right now and was wondering if junction blocks were part of the original engine compartment wiring? I plan to get the Classic Update kit soon, but was trying to do some research ahead of time. And yes, this truck has all sorts of rigged wiring BS.

can't tell from the pic, what wiring is running through there, from what I can see, it doesn't look stock

Are you talking about the shunt resistor, that was typically mounted on the firewall to the driver side of the distributor? If so, yes they did come stock, otherwise I am not aware of a junction block as standard or optional equipment on the 60'-'66 Chevy trucks.

The junction/terminal block I have is identical to the below picture from JEG'S.
The wiring is really a mess; if I recall, the junction block is powered directly off the battery which then has a small wire going from that terminal to the other (maybe a fusible link, I hope) and that terminal feeds the starter and fuse block. Sounds janky and non-stock right?
