98 Yukon- 350 engine???

I've got a 98 Yukon with the vortec V-8. I want to pull this motor and put it in my 71 long bed, how can I keep the fuel injection? Does anyone make a wiring harness to utilize the stock F.I. set-up? I assume I would be able to reuse the stock computer and maybe get the tranny adapted to work without the transfer case...

Thanks alot,
Steve

painless wiring has a kit, or else the entire wiring harness from the yukon is coming out. You'll also need the computer re-programed so it thinks you have a manual tranny. You'll need the exaust manifolds for the EGR and the oxygen sensors, maybe the y-pipe too. You'll have to swap in the fuel system too, including the fuel tank and in-tank pump. The ignition is computer controled. Its a hard swap, but worth it.

It's true you'll need all the above but you can run headers and just get the appropriate codes deleted from the computer when you get the computer reflashed. A.I.R and EGR can be removed and well as the second O2 sensor all at the same time you have the computer set up for your trans etc.
