Rear End Swap

I Have A 1969 C10 Short Bed With Leaf Springs In The Rear And A Six Lug Bolt Pattern I Want To Change It To A Five Lug Truck Does Anybody Know What Year Truck I Can Use To Swap The Rear End On To Make It A Five Lug Or I'am I Stuck With Buying A Axle Kit From Early Classic Truck.

And What Is The Easiest Way To Change My Front Drum To A Disc Brake

since you have leafs, it actually makes this easier.
anything (leaf sprung) from 71 - 87 would work. They would all be a fraction wider... plan on 3/8 inch per side, but that's nothing unless you are packin the wheel wells full of rubber.
As for the front, there's many ways to do it, budget, your skill level, and the lazy factor being the main 3 things (in that order) to look at.
Being I am both cheap and lazy, it's a good thing I have a good idea of how it all works. Personally, i would look at buying a 73 - 87 parts truck. I'm sure there's still a few rusted up ones left for parts pickin... get one that needs an engine or a tranny, and get it cheap. Then rape it for the whole front suspention, and the rear axle, and haul it to the scrap yard.
