What's the differences between a A/C and Non A/C Cab? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am going to be replacing the a/c in my 72. It had a dealer added under-dash system. I want to install a factory in-dash system. Are there any differences in the dash dimensions or is the only difference the holes for the vents? Thanks, Rodney

I dont think any size difference. I did my truck with vintage air system. it was non air, but i ordered a unit for a factory air truck. It has to do with controls and cables i believe. Also if i am not mistaken, you have adjustable temp and fan control where as some other it is just on or off if you don't use factory controls.
